Did You Say Hydrogen Ion Concentration?
pH is an abbreviation for “power of hydrogen”, which is a measurement of the hydrogen ion concentration in the body. The total pH scale ranges from 1 to 14, with 7 considered neutral. Water measures 7, meaning it is perfectly neutral. Anything less than 7 is considered acidic and anything above 7 is alkaline. The body’s ideal pH leans just touch alkaline – 7.30 to 7.45. You can test your own pH level using litmus paper in your saliva or urine first thing in the morning. I believe a body that maintains a balanced pH level is preventative in fighting disease, healing itself and rebuilding degenerative conditions. For example, many of the most common digestive issues, such as nausea, bloating, indigestion and heartburn, are symptomatic of excess acid in the gastric region and not enough alkaline minerals in the digestive tract. If minerals are missing from foods rich in enzymes then this overworks the pancreas which can lead to a degenerative spiral of entropy where organs become confused and inflamed because the pancreas is not able to work properly in decoding the food ingested and telling the body what to do with it. An out of balance pH level impacts every system in your body. Gout, dry skin, dandruff, athletes foot, kidney stones, joint pain, energy loss and yeast infections are just some of the conditions linked to an unbalanced pH level. But the good news is that you can do something about it.
