PEMF or Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields

PEMF stands for: Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field.  PEMF technology has opened the door to the brain, not just the body!

EMF, or Electro-Magnetic Fields, has drawn much attention in recent years as “bad” for the body. However, it is not that EMF is “bad”, but the type and form of it, such as from cell phones and power lines. Every cell in our body produces emf as a result of having and using electricity, but in this form it is necessary for life and for sustaining health. .

In the case of PEMF we are talking about using a form of EMF that is compatible and healthy for the body and can even help the body recover from injury/ trauma/ or other serious issues such as strokes, in which case the PEMF can be used to help both the body’s recovery PLUS the brain’s.

When we at the Bonrich Academy use and discuss PEMF it will generally be from a therapeutic aspect, which means using a pulsed magnetic field to help the body and/or brain restore function.

Why “pulsed” EMF (as in PEMF)?  – Because the body uses electricity, and therefore magnetism, in pulse form to communicate as well as to repair and recover from injury or illness. Whether PEMF or electricity in the form of Micro-current we use a pulsed form to mimic the body’s natural electrical system.

We can administer PEMF through bone, such as the skull to provide signaling to parts of the brain, or through clothing to reach body tissue, especially deep tissue areas such as with hip pain and large muscle groups.

Research has found that using a pulsed form, rather than just a constant magnetic field, helps the body (and brain) with what is called tissue memory, in essence, allowing the brain to forget a “bad” memory, which could be something as common as a “bad” habit, but usually is a more serious problem such as from an injury, and helps provide a way for the brain to create a new memory pattern for the muscle or fascia tissue.

In the case of a stroke, everything we just discussed comes to the forefront and is needed. As an example that is close to home, our own pet Bandit- a Border Collie had this used for her.
